Description

A lovely, small, upside-down weeping tree, with branches draped in 'hanging' branchlets full of large, purple leaves throughout spring and summer, darkening in autumn. Beech trees are best grown in deep, well-drained soil and sunny position, thriving in acid or alkaline soil.

Suggested Uses

Best used for decoration, as a mushroom headed tree, or for hedging.

Size

10 - 12 feet high at present, maturing to 100 feet tall.
